The Blade Shack was founded by Connie West in 2002 and is located in Collinsville, Texas.  

I started sharpening clipper blades and providing clipper repair in 2002.  I was in-between careers as a result of the 9/11 tragedy.  I was previously the Director of Production Services for a major hotel management company and had 15 years experience in the printing industry.  

I saw a need for a quality sharpening service in our immediate "horse country" area and in 2002 we made the investment to open The Blade Shack.  In 2008 I got my husband Tim involved and we added scissor sharpening service and in 2009 we added knife sharpening. We now have customers shipping us orders from all over the United States.
